Chris Sutton is one of Europe’s most up-and-coming visionary image makers and the founder and creative director of the award-winning fashion label VOIDOFCOURSE.

VOIDOFCOURSE was discovered and supported by internationally acclaimed artist Lady Gaga, who took the entire first collection home at first sight. Known for consistently challenging conventional notions of beauty and fêted for groundbreaking creative collaborations with some of the fashion & music industries most notable figures.

After the sudden passing of Chris’s creative partner in 2013, he continued to distinguish himself within his role as Nick Knight’s assistant, having been introduced via Lady Gaga’s creative team.

At Nick’s SHOWstudio, Chris discovered that image making was the culmination of his creative passions. Consolidating his expertise in theatre, film, and fashion, Chris gained invaluable experience on some of the most ambitious and exciting productions in the industry.

This led Chris to legendary creative consultant Lady Amanda Harlech, whom he assisted for several years working on editorial and commercial campaigns for clients like Fendi and Chanel. Culminating in consulting on Karl Lagerfeld’s career retrospective exhibition ‘Modemethode’ in 2015.

Sutton is reknowned for his innovative, modern image-making techniques with a timeless approach and for collaborations with leading fashion figures and prestigious brands, Chris Sutton Studio stands at the forefront of contemporary photography.

Chris's clients include but not limited to Selfridges, Shaun Leane Jelwellery, Dior Beauty, Fendi, Christian Cowan, Halpern,  Italian Vogue, V Magazine, Vman, Numero, 10 Magazine and 10Men. He regularly contributes covers to L’Officiel and its global editions.

Chris currently splits his time between LA, NYC, London, and Ireland, where he lives peacefully in the countryside ( which makes travelling at very short notice for shooting and the usual insane deadlines much, much more tolerable )
