Chris Sutton is a Belfast-born image maker with a reputation for crafting bold, cinematic visuals that bridge fashion, art, and storytelling. As the founder and creative director of the award-winning label VOIDOFCOURSE, Chris made an immediate impact when the entire first collection was acquired by Lady Gaga on sight—an early sign of the visionary approach that continues to define his work.
His career has been shaped by formative collaborations with some of the most influential names in fashion. After the sudden loss of his creative partner in 2013, Chris distinguished himself as part of Nick Knight’s team at SHOWstudio, introduced via Lady Gaga’s creative circle. There, he found his true medium in image-making, drawing on his background in theatre, film, and fashion to develop a signature style—elevated, modern, and unmistakably his own.
This led to an enduring working relationship with Lady Amanda Harlech, assisting on editorial and commercial campaigns for Chanel, Fendi, and other luxury houses. His expertise culminated in consulting on Karl Lagerfeld’s landmark retrospective Modemethode in 2015.
Renowned for his ability to merge technical precision with raw emotion, Chris’s work has appeared in Italian Vogue, V Magazine, Numéro, 10 Magazine, and L’Officiel (where he is a regular cover contributor). His commercial clients include Dior Beauty, Fendi, Selfridges, Shaun Leane Jewellery, Christian Cowan, and Halpern.
